Welcome to our 30th anniversary website!

Canada is a land of opportunity for immigrants new and old. Chinese settlement in Canada began in the mid-19th century, but in New Brunswick it happened in the early years of the 20th century. In spite of the diversity of places of origin and social and educational background, the early settlers chose this province as our permanent home and are determined to live in harmony with others and be dedicated citizens in the community.

The Chinese Cultural Association of New Brunswick (CCANB) was founded in October of 1977, the first of such cultural organizations among all visible minorities in this province. Our members are celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2007 with pride and enthusiasm. We invite you to join us in our celebration.
